DIVE FOR CANCER 2017 Dive for Cancer is a great event for an important cause. The next Dive for Cancer (South Australia) will be held on 19th February 2017. Save the date! It is expected to be another massive event with a great line up of guest speakers. Dive for Cancer 2016 was held on 21st February. More than $20,000 was raised on the day, bringing the total of funds raised for the Cancer Council of South Australia to more than $47,000 since the event was first launched in 2014. 130 divers hit the water in perfect conditions for the 2016 event.
It was MC’d by Paul Curran, Dr Richard Harris talked about Extreme Cave Diving, Dr Bruce Wauchope spoke about diving and skin cancer and Rodney Fox and Mark Tozer both had the crowd in stitches with their stories. Several auctions were held, with 67 items up for bids in the silent auction and 4 more in the live auction.
